Dentoni’s Family of Companies

Philosophy of Success:
Any Time, Any Where, Any Kind.

No matter the location, the time of day, or the nature of the problem, Dentoni's is dedicated to delivering service to the customer. Throughout the years, Dentoni's has eagerly handled the most difficult jobs - the jobs nobody else wanted.

Pair this commitment to solving a customer's problem with the relentless hard work of three Dentoni generations, then add innovative thinking on how to better serve the customer, and you have the secret to Dentoni's phenomenal growth and success.

The drive to the top position that Dentoni's holds in The Central and Northern California market was started in 1960 by the father-and-son team of John Dentoni and David B Dentoni Sr. Welders by trade, they opened the doors to their own business in a modest 800 square foot facility at 801 South Airport Way in Stockton. Today, more than 55 years later, welding remains a Dentoni specialty and it is still performed in the same building. The original shop is now the cornerstone of Dentoni's large complex that spreads across five acres of land and encompasses eight massive buildings.

After the death of John in 1963, another Dentoni team took over - son Dave Focused on expanding the operation outside of welding, while his wife Donna Concentrated on Financial and administrative matters. With both very adept in their chosen business roles, the company grew over the next 21 years. It was also during this time that Dave and Donna grew a family - The future members to the Dentoni business team.

In 1982, David B. Dentoni II joined the company, and worked with his Dad in developing the Heavy Duty side of the business with the opening of Dentoni's Spring and Suspension, which had been opened in 1980 at the company's Stockton headquarters on South Airport Way. It was a sound decision as most of the customer base was from the transportation industry. Success at the first shop led to the 1987 opening of a second facility at 6941 Florin Perkins Road, in Sacramento’ one-hour drive north on HWY 99 from Stockton. It was at the Sacramento branch that another son, Mark, got involved, joining the family business in 1986.

The company's knowledge of and experience with trailers, coupled with its expert skills in welding and machining led it to establish a Body and Trailer manufacturing facility in 1991. Within the enclosed structure, Dentoni's manufactures the strongest and most durable trailers on the west coast. It doesn’t stop there, Dentoni’s is the “go to” destination when vehicle and trailer repair are needed. Our capabilities allow us to offer what our competitors can’t. We can fabricate and replace major trailer components (e.g. sub-assemblies, sliding chassis, landing gear, kingpins, air brake and electrical systems), as well as refurbish the entire trailer (including roof and skin repairs; complete interior retrofits of side posts, top and bottom rails, nose rail, rear door frame, flooring, and roll-up or swing door replacement or repair) Specialty trailers and bodies like two container Roll-Offs, Roll-Off bodies and Flatbeds, are a prime focus. And don’t forget the best part; Dentoni's will pick up customers' trailers needing repair within a 100 mile radius with its own tractor.

Dentoni’s next addition to their “Family of Companies,” Dentoni’s Truck Parts and Service which established in 2011 in Concord, California that was branded. This location provides the entire offering for small trailer, pick-up accessories and heavy truck parts as well as the best inventory on Brake and Suspension in the area. Just four years later in 2015 the acquisition of Norcal Waste Equipment was completed in San Leandro, California. This location focused on Refuse, Waste and the Recycling industry. With Roll-off body manufacturing as the primary offering, Norcal is proud to have the longest life unit on the market. Those designs are still available as a standard. Norcal also provides waste compactors for multiple applications in residential, food and mobile applications. In 2016 the parts department for Norcal was established supporting all of Dentoni’s offerings.

David Dentoni II, after taking over as President, had a distinct thought process, to provide the best on-hand inventory with local availability to his customer base. Most of the competition only stocked items that move out the door fast. Our goal is to support the vendor partnership with their complete line. If the customer has to go to more than one distribution point, the unit down time and associated travel costs are elevated. Our order fill rate led to David’s motto”, If we don’t have it, you don’t need it”. With millions of dollars invested in inventory it's easy to see why Dentoni’s is a one stop shop for all of your needs.

Today, the Dentoni heavy duty division has capabilities and skills in service, manufacturing and repair that span the entire undercarriage of trucks, tractors and trailers, including springs and suspensions, brake systems, rear axle assemblies, wheel alignments, frame straightening and extensions.

Our Mobile service which began in the 50’s continues to this day. Our mobile fleets of vehicles are equipped for trailer repairs, alignment, steering, suspension and welding at the customer’s location.

Additionally, eight outside salesmen for Dentoni's heavy duty business cover the entire Central Valley and Northern California areas to help solve problems and respond to the needs of existing and new customers.

The quality and craftsmanship of the work we perform have earned Dentoni's the status of being the authorized warranty repair facilities for numerous vendors for the owner operators through prominent national fleets. In addition, we are an authorized warranty repair service for Vanguard and Hyundai Trailers.

Throughout the years, in addition to working on heavy duty Class 5 through 8 vehicles and semi-trailers, Dentoni's was also doing service and repairs on pickups and 4x4's owned by the truck drivers as well as the farmers in this major agricultural center of the State. With the volume of work on the Class 1 through 5 ever increasing, Dentoni's decided a separate building was required to continue providing quality attention to and service of the smaller trucks. Thus was born Dentoni's Custom Truck Works in 1990 with Dan Dentoni, the third son to the family business. Featuring a retail-oriented product display room to increase sales through add-on purchases, the facility has three bays, in which nine pick-ups can be simultaneously worked on. In addition to traditional spring and suspension repair, the vehicles can be equipped with truck racks (made in-house) bed liners, tool boxes, chromed wheels and tires, custom bumpers and power winches, and complete custom installation on lifting and lowering vehicles.

The Custom Truck Works also has an OE salesman calling on all Dealers to provide them with modified floor models and/or outfitting purchased vehicles with the accessories the customers want.

What the customer wants. Is what the entire Dentoni family and their employees focus on in every phase of their business. That's why Dentoni's is the top in California's Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley.
